“ Excellent food and service! We were in London for a few days and wanted a change of pace for dinner. We are so happy we chose BKC. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we enjoyed our experience. The staff asked thoughtful questions and made great suggestions to satisfy all our palates. Everything was delicious and fresh. You know a restaurant is good when there are plants of locals enjoying meals. I know this will be a stop on our next trip to London! ”
“ BKC: A Culinary Delight with a Minor Caveat () My recent dining experience at BKC was nothing short of exceptional, with a minor caveat regarding the portion size of the chicken in the curry. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the attentive staff, who graciously accommodated us despite our lack of a reservation. The ambiance was inviting, and the service throughout our meal was impeccable. We opted for the butter chicken, a dish that proved to be a visual and gastronomic masterpiece. The vibrant orange hue of the tomato-based sauce hinted at the rich and flavorful experience that awaited us. The sauce was expertly cooked in butter and cream, resulting in a velvety smooth texture that coated the palate. The addition of fresh herbs elevated the dish further, and the quality of the ingredients and spices was evident in every bite. While the curry was undeniably delicious, I felt that the portion of chicken was slightly lacking. This minor shortcoming, however, was not significant enough to detract from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Despite the aforementioned caveat, BKC has set a high standard for both culinary excellence and customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to any discerning diner seeking an authentic and unforgettable curry experience. ”
“ Amazing food, great service, but limited seating. The food was fabulous, devoured everything. Especially loved the paneer kathi roll– it’s a must have item if you visit. So much flavour packed into every bite! The kofta was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it was so soft and so good, it practically melted with every bite. The house black daal was excellent, I would have this on its own honestly! Gullah jamun was so warm and just the right amount of sweet; the shredded almonds and dried rose petals were a lovely touch. It is quite cramped in the restaurant and seating is very limited; if you’re a party of 8, I’m not sure you’d be seated comfortably. We went as a party of 4 and had no issues. ”
“ We came here after a trip to the Moco museum. The food was divine. Hubby enjoyed the selection of non veg platter and of course the signature chicken biryani. My matka chai was delicious and topped of a lovely day. We can’t wait to come back and are already finding excuses for our next trip into central London. ”
“ I had ordered takeaway on a delivery app. A friend recommended this place for its Biryani and Kababs. I am a vegetarian and so settled for 2 Subz Dum Biryani and one platter of Veg Kababs. The ordered arrived in 25 mins , though the app suggested 35 to 45 mins... so extra points to BKc for keeping the order ready in time for the delivery guy.... The food. The Kabab Platter - there were 2 pieces each of 3 kababs. The Paneer, the Bhutte ki seekh, and the dahi ke kabab... top marks for the creamy yet light Dahi ke kabab, kababs made of hung curd/ yoghurt. Well spiced and superb.... The Bhutte ki seekh was nice, but honestly, I expected more bhutta (corn) in the kabab, but good. The paneer was overdone and so chewy, but the mustard marinade was good... All these came with salad sides, mint chutney which was authentic and minus the artificial colour or yoghurt.. so more mint and coriander, so good marks for that And the surprise was the radish dahi relish... I've never had this before in India and it was yumm. So extra points for that. The Biryani came with raita, which was good. The Biryani had lots of vegetables, well spiced, perfectly drizzled with the kewra essence ... and superb. Extra marks for the perfect spice levels, spicy, yet super tasty... and not overpowering. The only drawback was the chewy paneer that found its way in the Biryani, which could have been avoided. Overall, the food was great, service delivery was fantastic... and prices are ok for London standards.... finally some excellent authentic Indian food in London. ”
“ Amazing food ambience and service. The biryani is amazing do try the Kolkata chicken biryani if it’s the weekend special it was heaven ! . Also the galouti kebab with rumali roti was a 8/10. A shoutout to the staff for being friendly and making the experience amazing. The classic Bollywood music gives the place a cozy and comfy vibe. The food here made me feel like home ”
“ I was more than impressed visiting @bkc.restaurant. Honestly my impressions were that it's a casual restaurant but I was quite wrong. Prices are on the higher end but oh my the food was top notch. The biryani was decent but in my opinion you can pass on that and go for the "kebabs" /grills instead. All the ones I tried - wow. The quality of the chicken, the marination and flavours made me think this is a top Indian restaurant. The galouti kebab (lamb) which I know as a tunde kebab just broke apart so easily. This is rare to find and just melts in your mouth. Generally all the grilled meats were fantastic. For curries I tried the lamb bhuna which was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed the murgh makhni - perfect. Desserts held up to the mains as well. Falooda was great but my pick would be the gajar ka halwa because it was actually done properly. But even that gulab jaman was lovely. Quality food and I highly recommend. ”
“ From the moment we walked in on a Sunday morning our host showed great hospitality skills. From seating to menu recommendations, he was very helpful. The food was utterly full-flavoured and delicious, good size portions and well-presented. Large, very tender lamb chops. Huge portion of lamb biryani with accompaniments. Chicken lollipops and a great pink chai. Restaurant filled up quickly and the staff handled it well. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and a good value for the quality and flavours, particularly considering the location a few steps from Marble Arch. Highly recommended. ”
